Chicken Feet Broth

Chicken Feet Broth

Hi there folks Stacy here at rose of Sharon homestead in central Wisconsin I’m going to be doing a short tutorial on making chicken bouillon or chicken broth from chicken’s feet on how to do it now these chickens are from the last hundred Cornish cross that I had processed any USDA processor now when you process to review is DA plants you can choose to keep your deserves your liver and your feet and all that and they we all cut them and keep them and now by going through the U. S. T. plant they do most of the hard work okay normally if you do chickens yourself right there would be a yellow skin on this there would be nails all right now it looks like there are nails on here but there isn’t okay so what the processor already has done is they have. Dipped them in boiling water no listen if you’re doing this yourself you will have to do that you will have to dip them in boiling water softener yellow skin as you can see here and doing this with one hand there is some real skin left over so I’m going to be going through and cleaning up any spot that they didn’t get out in spots like this that’s not a big deal is going to cut that out with a nice I’m going to go through each one. And see they cut out the path which is if there’s any. Bad spots or what have you when you got to do that as well this one looks fine like I said if you have them you would be pulling off the nails this is not a nail that’s underneath the now this one is.An okay. Good I’d throw that in the Nasco, okay and I’m gonna go through and do a couple of these and then show you how I make the broth and I’m telling you bone broth this type of Ross from the feet the healthiest thing you guys can do. So many minerals. In the bones that.John.The.Corporate vitamins that you get off the shelf at Walmart.
So all right come along with me as I go ahead and show you how to do this. All right now as I stated. And my daughter is going to. Speaker 2: Still to.If you see any spots like this the card out.All the amount. You know sometimes it’s just a.Bad.Spot.Looking here. As you can see here there are some spots in the corners get out. Take a knife and. Get those out. Call them out with your hands. This can occur gotta get in there at times. Get it out sometimes it can be a little bit of a struggle. Come on out there. Get any of that yellow skin off. And definitely, if you get a chicken that has had an issue with fumble foot. Which is an abscess in the front which is a faction? Do not want to use that okay guy only use the healthy. Healthy feet. And so what I should say. Okay, guys here’s an example of one that didn’t have any.Issues.One thing you need to know about these corners crosses because they are such easy birds and they don’t move around that much you know they’re just sitting on their feet all the time a lot of times they get bad spots in here that’s why most of these like this. Processors do come out cut out so you know if you’re growing your own in doing this you will have to go ahead and make sure that you make sure that that is all good. Here’s a spot here that all cut out don’t worry about. This that’s just a product of. A little bit of bruising and there ain’t gonna hurt nonsense and if you get a for that you’re just not comfortable with. It’s a funny one how it looks. Just feed it to the dogs. Okay, these there’s no sense in. Risking any sort of a. Been going in there if it’s not worth it so just make sure that. That you know. You make the proper.Cooking.Or not clicking Mostar. And I have. Chicken bone so we always. Okay, folks, the next step is to you once you cleaned are your feet for the chicken.Feet.Then after they’ve been foiled you’ve taken off that yellow we orange skin you’ve checked for any bad spots in them you pull the nails off of them then you’re going to still. Them in your NASA for yours.Your crockpot. Whatever you want to use for your pot I always feel them just so there you know just over the feet like that and then we’re going to turn it up it’s about. Six ten on Monday evening I’m going to turn this up to I don’t like to do it too hot just to about three seventy-five and then we are going to cover that brings that to a hard hard boil. And then after the next hard boil, we’re going to add more water we’re going to add some natural salt to it and then. At the end during the evening I’m going to put this thing all the way up to here and then I’m gonna put it on slow cook all the way down to slow cook and tomorrow morning we’re gonna have some beautiful broth and I will go ahead and through the process of adding editing show you the finished product when that is done tonight tomorrow I’m sorry. Okay, folks after ten o’clock PM. Let’s see what we have here. See you look at all the beautiful. Beautiful flat in the middle. That’s wonderful so what we’re gonna do now. I want this to actually. One day I.Wailing in there. To pull out all the minerals it Kian from them. Two nine four.Water here.Actually.More.In the.Thank you for it.
I in no one is going to add some natural. So this is what I used. And there are no set amount of people. Do it to what you deem. You like for tests only to prolong and there were like to put some in. On number one for the minerals number two. It’s a preservative.Sir.To do that now what I’m going to do here is turn this down.To.Low cost.Right there. On the slow cook.On the. Morning Jack it up again.Yeah.Okay, folks here is the finished product and just open this up to ten o’clock the next day I do this for twenty-four hours and that’s about what we want there we’ve got that nice. A contact content on the top of the water we got the nice. Cloudy water that’s in there it’s broth no this point now the only thing I’m going to do is strangeness strainer putting in some jars and at this point, you can either. Pressure can it or freezer be very careful if you’re gonna put your jurors in the freezer because they will crack and break another method I don’t like to use plastics but if you don’t have any choice you can after this cool significantly you can put it in the freezer ziplock bag and freeze it like that as well so there you go guys finished product just a strain put in a jar of putting a really thick plastic freezer bag and you’re good to go this is Stacey at rose of Sharon homestead saying get them hands dirty it growing get raising get sustainable by the way folks there’s no MSG in this like there is in the stuff on the stop shop store shelves have a great day.
